Sometimes it is necessary to send patients for an x-ray or other kinds of tests which we cannot carry out in the surgery. Where possible these will be carried out at the Felixstowe General Hospital Site but on occasion it may be necessary to send patients to Ipswich Hospital.
It may be also be necessary for patients, once assessed, to be sent to hospital. Patients will be assessed initially by the Duty Doctor who will decide on the appropriate course of action. Initial assessment may be carried out by telephone, a same day appointment will always be offered where necessary.
On some occasions this may involve periods of waiting, we hope that our patients will be understanding when this happens.
